Day 6 - Tiber Island, Temple of Vesta, Circus Maximus and The Capitalone

Well another day of sunshine for our walk to Tiber Island. We don't think we have ever walked so much in our lives, but the scenery compensates for the aches and pains at the end of the day. It is amazing that after a few days we can now walk around Rome in any direction and find our way back home with ease. We are still having problems getting used to all the traffic, but we are finding that they usually stop for you when crossing the street...or at least we are praying they will stop for us. Until tomorrow...

Circus Maxiums - This is where they held the chariot races in Rome.

The Mouth of Truth - Legend has it it is supposed to bite off the hands of liars.

The only place you seem to be able to sit down and rest is on anything made out of concrete or stone. What was that saying our mothers used to tell us about sitting on concrete?
